Earthing pit cover is used to cover both type of earthings i.e.
Chemical Earthing as
well as conventional earthings.
Earlier earthing covers made of cast iron but due to use
of masonry man and material it was really difficult to do on various sites
which are distant from each other.
Due to use of extra material and mason
and hefty transportation cost of cast iron Pit cover these have started loosing
their importance and new age HDPE earth pit chambers emerged as a solution over
CI chambers.
SG power make Earth pit chamber are made
of high grade raw material and manufactured on high technology injection
mounding machines.In this
four openings are provided so that earth strips can be taken out of it and in
the 2 holes are provided in its lid, and these holes are helpful to hold the
lid while opening and closing moreover rain water can be poured through those
holes hence this become latent advantage of those holes.
Earth pit chambers are available in
conical shapes as well as in square shapes in various sizes.
Most commonly size is 255 mm (10 inch ) dia at
Top , 325 ( 13 inch )dia at
bottom and 275mm ( 11 inch) height and weight of it is approx. 1.8 kg.
These chambers are available in the
market with different names like polyplastic earth pit chambers , earth pit chamber
cover , HDPE earth pit chamber etc and are available in different colours like
army green , black , etc.
SG Earth electrode manufacture is one of the renowned name in manufacturing
of Earth pit chambers and during design of our product we considered even minor
things like one product can be inserted into other so that they can be
accommodated in smaller space , hence transportation cost reduces drastically.
one more thing has also been considered during
its design and that is , place for 10 mm bolt has been provided on top of lid
while a nut has been molded into base of it so that bolt can be tighten in nut
and one of the major advantages of provided Nut and bolts arrangement reduce
theft significantly.

A very impressive content based on GI Earthing Electrode which meets all today requirements. Now the trend has come that, we have to move toward rod earthing instead of chemical earthing.
